1. Agreement to These Terms
By accessing the Hutan Data website at hutandat or by enrolling in any of our courses, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute the full agreement between you and Hutan Data regarding use of our website and services.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or enrol in our courses. For any questions before you proceed, contact us at [email protected] or on +60 3-2293 7416.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
2. About Hutan Data
Hutan Data is an online school offering AI development courses for working professionals based in Malaysia. Our current courses are:
- Mathematics for Practical AI — a five-week course, RM 760
- Applied AI Systems Programme — a sixteen-week programme, RM 3,520
- Evening Talk Series on AI in the Workplace — four sessions, RM 140
Our registered address is: The Gardens, Mid Valley City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
3. Enrolment and Registration
Enrolment in a course is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. We reserve the right to decline an enrolment at our discretion, in which case any payment received will be returned in full.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the enrolment process. Inaccurate information may affect your ability to participate in a course.
Places in each course are limited. Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute a confirmed enrolment.
4. Fees and Payment
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in full at the time of enrolment unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
We accept payment via the methods indicated on our enrolment page. It is your responsibility to ensure that payment is made in a timely manner. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors.
Fees may be revised for future course intakes. Any change in fees will not affect enrolments already confirmed and paid.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to withdraw from a course after enrolment, please notify us as early as possible at [email protected]. Our general approach to refunds is as follows:
- Withdrawal notified more than 14 days before the course start date — full refund of fees paid.
- Withdrawal notified between 7 and 14 days before the start date — 50% refund.
- Withdrawal notified fewer than 7 days before the start date, or after the course has commenced — no refund, though transfer to a future intake may be considered.
If Hutan Data cancels or substantially changes a course before it begins, enrolled participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative intake.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days of the withdrawal being confirmed.
6. Course Participation
Our courses are intended for adult learners. By enrolling, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Participants are expected to engage with course materials honestly and in a spirit of learning. Academic dishonesty — including submission of work that is not your own — may result in removal from the course without refund.
Course materials, feedback, and mentor communications are provided for your personal development and may not be shared or redistributed without our written permission.
We do not make promises about specific employment or career outcomes arising from completion of a course. Our courses are designed to build practical knowledge and skills; how you apply them is your own responsibility.
7. Intellectual Property
All content published on this website — including text, graphics, course structures, and instructional materials — is the property of Hutan Data or its content contributors and is protected under applicable Malaysian and international intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, or adapt any part of our website or course materials for commercial purposes without prior written consent. Personal, non-commercial use for your own reference is permitted.
Any work you produce as part of a course remains your own intellectual property, subject to any third-party licences that may apply to tools or datasets used in that work.
8. Acceptable Use of Our Website

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Our website and course materials are provided in good faith and with care, but we cannot guarantee that they are entirely free from error or that they will be uninterrupted. We make no warranties as to completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Hutan Data will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of this website or your participation in a course, including but not limited to loss of data, income, or opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
